Nutrition
Welcome to the School Nutrition Program of the
Rome City Schools. The elementary school breakfast menu is on a
five-day cycle and the elementary school lunch menu is on an
10-day cycle. In order to comply with the United States Department
of Agriculture (USDA) standards and nutritional analyses, the
School Nutrition Program at Rome Middle and Rome High Schools
participate in a five-day cycle menu for both breakfast and lunch.
A cycle menu is a listing of food by day. Rome
City Schools' centralized menu features one entree every day with
an additional entree choice added by the SNP manager at the
individual school site.
Every day each student has a choice of at least
two entrees, three vegetables, two fruits, and a choice of milk.
Each day's menu is analyzed for caloric, fat, sodium, vitamin,
and mineral information. The nutritional information for each
menu is available through the Rome City Schools' School Nutrition
Office. If you would like this information or have any questions
concerning the School Nutrition Program, please contact: Mrs.
Brandy Money; School Nutrition Program Director; Rome City
Schools; 508 East Second Street; Rome, GA 30161; phone 706/236-5050.
Menus may vary due to availability
of food products. Foreign food fare, festivals and special holidays
will be at the manager's discretion.
