General Information:

Rules for students and classes:

- To reserve class time in the media center, ask one of the media specialists. Online calendars are below.
- If more than three students are sent to the media center at one time, please call first to ensure that there is room for your students. - Teachers should accompany their classes to the media center.   
- Teachers should enforce the media center and school rules while their classes are visiting:
  • Students should not eat or drink while in the media center.
  • Students should be using the computers for school-related purposes. 
  • Students should always have a pass from the teacher with name(s), date, and time.
  • Students should be aware of others working and should keep their voices to a reasonable volume. 
  • Students should only be sent if they need to check-out/check-in a book or if they need to work on school assignments. 
 Teacher Services:

-  See media specialists if you need ANY help with instruction. We can create media center lessons for any class on any topic or can simply help teachers locate the most useful resources for students. 

- See media specialists for help scanning, making Ellison (bulletin board) cut-outs, printing, etc. We will be glad to assist you!

Teachers can check out books, magazines, videos, sound recordings, etc. All items are checked out as long as they are needed. Remember that other teachers may be waiting on an item so please return it in a timely manner.  

- Teachers needing TV carts, MMS carts, or other equipment need to check their items out with a media specialist. Equipment is first-come, first-serve, so please make arrangements as early as possible!

Click on the month to view classes scheduled. Due to cancellations or additions, calendar schedules can change daily. Sign up early!

Technology Request Form - Fill out this form if you are having problems with your computer or Smartboard. Compete this online and email to rhsmedia@rcs.rome.ga.us OR print, fill out, and turn in the hard copy to the media center.

Scrolling Announcement Form - Complete this form if you need an announcement placed on the TV. Compete this online and email to rhsmedia@rcs.rome.ga.us OR print, fill out, and turn in the hard copy to the media center.

GSBA represents and serves Georgia's 180 locally elected BOE's. This website has information on legislation, services, training, and other information related to Georgia education.

The Office of Legal Affairs from the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia explains copyright and "fair use" as they relate to education. Click on "Part I" to learn about fair use and then read examples of it. This is a very important site for teachers to read and understand!

Even though this is a member site, there are many free resources available to educators. You can make classroom materials such as quizzes, worksheets, puzzles, etc. There are also links to other educator sites.

This Discovery Education site allows users to create various types of puzzles from crosswords to mazes. Click on the puzzle type you need to quickly create fun classroom activities!

This site contains free printable worksheets over various English language skills on different levels of ablility. It also offers helpful links to other educator sites.
