Parents of students entering kindergarten through twelfth grade who live out of district may apply for their children to attend Rome City Schools on a tuition basis for the 2019-2020 school year. Tuition is $180 per year per student. Tuition students are accepted in Rome City Schools based on available space, the student's grade average and predicted success in Rome City Schools, the school applied to being in the student's attendance zone of entrance into the city, and the completion of the four steps of the application process as follows:
- Fill out the tuition application below completely.
- Attach a copy of the current report card. (A program-administered assessment of the student's abilities will suffice for rising Kindergarten students.)
- Attach a signed discipline report from the school counselor. (A signed letter stating behavior and attendance from the director/administrator will suffice.)
- Return completed application, report card, and discipline report to the Superintendent's Office, Rome City Schools, 508 East Second Street, Rome, Georgia 30161
New tuition applications are usually reviewed in late April. Current tuition students will receive a letter with instructions for reapplying in April. If you have any questions, please contact the Superintendent’s Office at 706-236-5050.
