• Welcome To Rome High School

    Rome High School ranks among the top high schools in the state of Georgia. Rome High School offers students a comprehensive 9-12 grade education. Students have multiple courses to choose from including specialized Advanced Placement®, Dual Enrollment, and Career Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) course offerings. Rome High School has a high AP® participation rate of 40%. Rome High School is recognized nationally by both US News and Niche as one of the best high schools in the United States. Rome High School is ranked 79th out of 476 schools in Georgia.

    Rome High School is an extremely diverse school with a total minority enrollment of 69%. The diversity of the school is evenly into thirds with approximately 33% African-American, 33% Hispanic, and 33% Caucasian. The diversity of the school allows students the opportunity to learn and work with students from many different cultural backgrounds which better prepares them for the real-world. 

    In athletics, the Rome High Wolves compete in Region 7 - AAAAA. Rome High School offers many different athletic options for students enrolled at Rome High School. The school has captured recent state titles in football (2016 and 2017). Rome High School Athletics ranked among the top 10 in the Director's Cup race with the Boy's ranking 5th and the Girl's ranking 21st. 

    The school offers students several opportunities in performing and fine arts. The school's Grand Finale Show Choir and Drama Productions sell out annually and are received warmly by the community. The Rome High School Marching Band ranks as one of the best bands in the southeastern United States winning multiple awards throughout several state competitions.

    Rome High School opened in 1992 combining both East and West Rome High Schools. Rome High has a rich history that is continually growing throughout Rome High's bright future.
