Rome City Schools
Coordinator of Instructional Technology
Mr. Jeff Hargett
The instructional technology office operates under the umbrella of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, with a primary role of supporting, training, and assisting school personnel in the use of technology for instruction and learning. In that role, the instructional technology office conducts training, disseminates information by email and video tutorials, manages teacher and student accounts in various instructional software applications, and troubleshoots user problems within those applications. You may contact me for help regarding user issues with computer hardware and applications such as: Smartboards, Google Apps, PowerSchool Gradebook setup and use, importing to and transferring students within the SRI, DIBELS, GRASP, Study Island, Scantron Performance and Achievement Series, and Georgia OAS applications, researching and recommending new classroom apps and technologies, and troubleshooting a multitude of other instructional use issues.
I communicate in a number of different ways, through email, websites, and social media. You can find the link to my Rome City Schools Instructional Technology social media posts on Facebook at http://facebook.com/RomeCitySchoolsTechnology
