Student Leadership Team

    Our student leadership team has been created to promote leadership traits in its members.  Our student members were nominated by their teachers who felt they were demonstrating leadership qualities on a consistent basis.  These students were required to fill out an application and state their desire to participate.  Their behaviors must conform to our school’s W-O-L-F acronym:  Work hard.  Own your behavior.  Listen and learn.  Focus on respect.  In addition, these students must maintain an A-B academic average.

    AKD’s Student Leadership team will meet monthly.  We will discuss AKD’s strengths and weaknesses, and will plan schoolwide projects and implement them.  Additionally, the leadership team will plan and implement projects in the community.

    AKD’s Student Leadership members will serve as greeters for guests in our building, helpers for schoolwide events, and role-models for our other students.  The team is sponsored by  Debbo Gray, school counselor.
