Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Amerman

I’ve have been part of the Elm Street for the last two years and couldn’t be more excited about my new role as assistant principal.  Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I was born in central New York, but grew up in southwest Florida. I graduated from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary  Education. After teaching in the Orlando area for eight years, we moved to Rome in 2008. I’m starting my eleventh year with Rome City Schools. Before transferring to Elm Street, I taught 5th grade Science and Social Studies at West End Elementary. I’m excited to have the opportunity to serve to Elm Street community. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.  I’m looking forward to a great year!
