Mrs. Jessi Presley
Hello! My name is Jessi Presley, and I am a Special Education teacher. This is my fourth year at Elm Street and my 14th year in education. I previously taught 4th and 5th graders at West Central, and I served Main Elementary and Elm Street as a Math Coach for the last 8 years. Having a daughter with special needs myself, I have a passion to work with students with disabilities and unique needs. In May 2019, I was appointed to the State Advisory Panel for Special Education where I will serve for the next 3 years as a parent of a child with disabilities.
Berry College is my alma mater - Go Vikings! I earned my Bachelor's and Masters in Early Childhood Education there as well as my Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction. In my time at Berry, I also earned my ESOL endorsement and Reading endorsement. I pursued my Leadership certification and completed my program at Kennesaw State University in May 2015.
Although you would never know by my accent, I was actually born in Pennsylvania and moved to Georgia as a toddler. I grew up in Chatsworth, GA and graduated from Murracy County High School. My husband, Shane, and I tied the knot in June 2010 and live here in Rome. Shane is a Rome-native and serves patients at Redmond Hospital in the radiology department. We welcomed our pretty princess, Julianne (who we love to call "Jules"), into the world in 2015. She is nothing but sugar sweetness and pure joy (with a dash of sass)! She has taught us so much about life, love, and perseverence in the short time we've had her. We are also parents to 2 fur babies - Alex (a schnorkie) and Charlie Bear (a 5 pound yorkie). There is never a dull moment at the Presley house!
If I can ever be of service to you, please don't hesitate to contact me!
