5th graders in Mrs. T. Davis's science classes observed the effects of constructive and destructive processes. Students traveled to stations learning about weathering, erosion, and deposition. Every class had AMAZING conversations, showed team work, and had FUN learning!

Mrs. Reyes' 3rd grade students listened to the story The Man Who Walked Between the Towers to learn about the trait-bravery. After, they spoke about the brave heroes who risked their lives to help others during the events of 9/11.
Next, the class wrapped up unit 1 in Reading with an opinion writing-publishing picnic based on the themes found in The Wind In the Willows. Students worked hard to plan, revise, edit, and publish their writing.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 21, and the Farmers’ Market for Families at the Parent Resource Center. There will be free produce and a free children’s book while supplies last. The event is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and includes a craft station and petting zoo for kids, music, a community resource fair, and more. We can’t wait to see everyone there. #ReimagineRCS

Our students enjoyed Kona ice during recess today. Teachers were treated to wings and peach cobbler for lunch. We are all ready to enjoy a long weekend! Bring on College Football...and cooler weather!
Reminder! Tomorrow is College Spirit Day...support your favorite team! Kona Ice will also be at West End tomorrow (8/29) during students' recess time. Students can purchase a treat from $3-$5 depending on the size they choose.
