Rome High School theatre students will take center stage during the 2026-2027 school year after being selected to participate in the prestigious Fox Theatre Fox Gives All-Access Pass Program, a grant-based initiative designed to provide students with immersive experiences in the performing arts.

Rome High School is one of only four schools in Georgia chosen to participate in the program during the 2026-2027 school year. The selection recognizes the strength of Rome High School's theatre program and provides students with opportunities to see what professional theatre looks like up close.

"This is an incredible opportunity for our students and a tremendous accomplishment for Mrs. Alexis Tyson and the outstanding work she and our fine arts teachers have done to build a culture of excellence at Rome High School," Rome City Schools Director of Fine Arts Dr. Tab Brown said. "Being selected for the Fox Theatre's All-Access Pass Program places our students among a very select group in Georgia and opens doors to experiences many young artists only dream about."

Throughout the school year, Rome High School theatre students will experience live performances, receive exclusive backstage access, engage in hands-on educational experiences, and explore careers alongside professionals working in the performing arts industry.

Students will gain firsthand insight into careers in theatre, music, dance, technical production, arts management, and other creative fields while building skills in communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.

"Being chosen for this opportunity opens a lot of doors for our students. They will get to explore careers in theatre and the arts that often get overlooked at the high school level. They will also get to see a professional touring production at The Fox, an experience that many of our students might  otherwise be able to experience. I am so proud of all the growth that we have accomplished in our theatre department and am so grateful that the kids will get to experience the benefits of such a wonderful partnership.” Alexis Tyson, Rome High School’s theatre director, said.

The Fox Gives All-Access Pass Program is designed to inspire the next generation of performers, technicians, educators, arts leaders, and creative professionals while introducing students to the many career opportunities available within the performing arts.

For Rome High School students, this opportunity to learn from industry professionals in one of the nation's premier performing arts venues will expand their horizons while preparing them for success in college, careers, and life.

"This selection is a tremendous honor for Rome High School and a reflection of the outstanding work taking place to move the needle throughout our Fine Arts program," Rome City Schools Superintendent Dr. Eric L. Holland said. "At Rome City Schools, we believe the arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education because they inspire creativity, build confidence, strengthen communication, and prepare students for success in college, careers, and life. We are committed to providing our students with exceptional opportunities, and being selected for the Fox Theatre's All-Access Pass Program demonstrates that commitment. I am incredibly proud of Dr. Brown, Mrs. Tyson, our fine arts teachers, and especially our students. This experience has the potential to broaden horizons, open doors, and create memories and opportunities that will last a lifetime."
