Rome City Schools is busy charting its next chapter. Superintendent Dr. Eric L. Holland unveiled the district's Reimagine RCS 2030 vision last Thursday at Rome Middle School, outlining an ambitious plan to build on recent successes and continue improving student achievement, school safety, and operational excellence.
Dr. Holland shared the district's progress over the past year while outlining priorities for the next four years, including expanded literacy initiatives, additional early learning opportunities, enhanced school safety measures, investments in staff development, facility improvements, and continuing to build on strong partnerships with families and the community.
"Our goal is to continue the progress we've made while staying focused on what matters most, helping every student succeed," Holland said. "Reimagine RCS 2030 gives us a clear direction for the future and a shared commitment to keep moving the needle in every school and every classroom."
The presentation focused on the district's four strategic priorities of student achievement, staff development, stakeholder engagement, and safety and operations, all connected to this year's theme of “Move the Needle”.
Dr. Holland also reviewed recent district successes, including gains in student achievement, safety recognition from the state, clean financial audits, effective accountability practices, and new programs designed to prepare students for college, careers, and life.
The event gave community members, business partners, and other stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about the district's progress, ask questions, and see how Rome City Schools plans to continue growing through 2030. Attendees were also treated with guided tours through the new Rome Middle School.
