April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which helps recognize the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Rome has some wonderful family serving agencies who help us bring awareness to these issues and to help our children and families thrive. We encourage you to join us in wearing blue on Monday for Blue Monday, to bring awareness to the community problem of child abuse and neglect! https://www.facebook.com/harborhousega?mibextid=LQQJ4d https://www.facebook.com/RFCCCY?mibextid=LQQJ4d https://www.facebook.com/exchangeclubfrc?mibextid=LQQJ4d

Check this out! This event is a great example of how we are preparing RCS students for college and work following graduation! Rome High School students took part in a Career Recruitment Expo. Local businesses and colleges visited with students in the morning and select businesses identified students as potential employees and interviewed these students in the afternoon.

How amazing is this! This year we started a program that will assist 21 RMS students who need formal wear for the Rome Middle School Formal. We will invite these students to stay at school for a makeover experience with "fairy godmothers" to assist in hair and makeup. Truett's Chick-Fil-A will provide food and after the makeover, students will attend the formal. A huge thank you to Restoration Rome and private community donors for the formal wear and shoes and making this possible!
