ROME, GA - The Rome City Schools Board of Education will hold a called meeting and work session on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The purpose of the called meeting is to review personnel and other items. Immediately following the called meeting they will go into a work session.  The purpose of the work session is School Achievement Impact Check.  Both the called meeting and work session will be held at Rome City Schools Former Board Room, 508 East Second Street,  Rome, Georgia 30161.

Attention Rome City Schools Families: Due to inclement weather, RCS will have a two-hour delayed start on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. This means all bus routes, school openings, and start times will be shifted forward two hours from the regularly scheduled times. For example, a 7:00 AM bus pickup will now be a 9:00 AM pickup, etc. All elementary staff will report at 9:15 AM. All middle school and high school staff will report at 10:00 AM. No breakfast will be served and lunches will be served at regular times. There will be no changes to the dismissal procedures. Please use caution when driving and walking to school. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
