Rome City Schools' Literacy Instructional Priority is built around Text Complexity. Here, you'll find resources and information to support educators in helping students develop the skills they need to comprehend and analyze increasingly complex texts, a crucial component of college and career readiness.
EL Education
EL Education (formerly Expeditionary Learning) is used in our lower elementary and middle schools. EL Education was recently identified and approved by the Georgia Department of Education as a literacy resource that is a “High-Quality Instructional Material” and meets the state’s new legislative requirement for the use of instructional literacy materials that are based on the Science of Reading. All grade levels teach the Georgia standards throughout the year.
